Douglas B. Rogers Douglas B. Rogers, Ed.D., (Reading Education, SUNYAB). is the author of Write of Way, an essay-writing text for college students, published by Pearson Education. Doug has taught psychology, education, and English courses at colleges and universities for more than two decades, including the additional qualification courses in reading education offered by Brock University and, more recently, the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto--both in the classroom and online. He is currently serving as an early literacy expert on the Ontario Ministry of Education’s Turnaround Teams Program, helping schools boost the reading achievement of students from junior kindergarten to grade 3. Doug is also an early childhood educator and is writing a book to help parents and early educators create a love of books and reading in their babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. In 2007, he developed and taught a course on literacy education for Ryerson University's School of Early Childhood Education. |
